Default It's beginning to look alot like Christmas.

Bah humbug. Good heavens, every store has Christmas music playing, it's all out Christmas warfare. Really, I usually look forward to this holiday, but I think it's going to be overkill this year. Anybody else? Are you scaling back this year? Do you plan on sending cards? Are you making cookies?

I really want to get the boys involved in picking a child's name off a Christmas tree. I explained to them that even Santa needs help making wishes come true and we need to chip in. They bought it. I think it's important for them to realize Christmas isn't just about receiving it's about giving too.

Christmas will be scaled back this year. Sending e-cards again under the guise of being environmentally friendly instead of cheap! I want to make some ornaments - paper chains, string cranberries, etc. We're going to go cut our own tree at the local tree farm.

Yeah, I think I saw christmas stuff out before Halloween was over with at a few stores.

I know, I love it! . I am already shopping and on the lookout for the kids things. I'm itching to decorate already, but I think my real tree would be quite dead by Christmas. It's been a cruddy year, and ending on such a festive time, is a good way to end the year.

It takes us over 3 hours to decorate one tree and this year we have 6. So we have started already Our holiday open house is this weekend so we have to get going.

We put it out so early because we paid for this stuff in June and in bad economies the more time it's out the more time we have for selling.

We won't start the music for a while though. I do draw the line at that

I dunno, call me Scrooge but it is so off-putting to me to see Christmas stuff in the stores the day after Halloween, with Thanksgiving not even here yet!

This woman at Staples asked me today if I was ready for Christmas and I said no, I'm still waiting to eat turkey! BAH HUMBUG!

I heard retailers were getting a jump because of the economy. I think putting the kiddos Christmas outfits out this early was a bit much. By the time Christmas rolls around, I don't think I'm going to be excited at all.

That is what I think too. There was Christmas stuff out here even before Halloween.

I am scaling back. I am not sure exactly what or how. My kids are not believers anymore so it is going to be interesting. I am planning on still doing the Red Guy stuff but I am not sure about holiday cards. I love getting them so will probably still send them.

I have started buying only because the one thing they really want are those stupid toy hamster things that are impossible to find. I have been buying a couple at a time on Ebay. So far nothing has arrived though. I guess I better check on that.
