Default Mom clothes

Where do you get yours?

I finally purged my closet. Nothing in there fit well anymore. I feel great that my closet is clean.

However, now I have nothing to wear but t-shirts and jeans. At 42, I think I need more options. I have about zero sense of style. Ideas of what to wear on a daily basis would be great, as well as, well....

What not to wear .

I see a lot of stuff in the store, but I think I might be too old to carry it off well.

Ann Taylor Loft. They can help you put stuff together (go without the kids!) and you can build on that. Really, as long as you're not baring your midriff or your ass crack, I think you're OK with most of the styles out there now. You've got a cute figure and you're tall, so go for it!

I dunno, I wear a lot of capri pants and knit tops, summer dresses, etc. It's all about comfort before style for me, baby!

Ann Taylor has a lot of their jeans on sale. I just bought 4 new pair because I have lost some weight and none of my clothes are fitting. I also decided to treat myself to some new stuff, but I end up returning more than I keep...

Oh and if you get anything from ann taylor, let me know I have a code for 25% off your order total.

If you want to look pulled together but still like jeans, look for some trouser style ones in dark. Make sure they come to your hip and not your waist, not mom jeans! I like chinos/kakhis with cuffs, you can dress those up with a button down shirt and nice jewelry, or dress down with a tee flip-flops.

I am a gap, old navy, and target gal too. I never wear anything really nice because I go absolutely nowhere.

TJMaxx, Belk, Dillards, wherever there's a sale.

I agree with what Imp said. I have a few nice "church" outfits, but most of my stuff is made for chasing kids. Khaki capris and a knit top with sneakers, go to the zoo. Same outfit with pretty sandals and some funky jewelry, casual dinner with friends.

Same here - jeans/t-shirts, capri's but some nicer tops and some nicer shoes for dressing up - if I am going out with friends for dinner or something like that. I go to a pretty casual church too -so don't even dress up that much for church.
